What *precisely* do women mean when they say "I'm not settling."?

I decided I would rather be single and date then "settle down" and be bored out of my mind. I didn't want to settle for someone who ended up a couch potato. I found a guy who likes camping, canoeing, sea kayaking, hiking and biking, so I'm glad I didn't "settle". "Settle" can vary a lot among men and women..some are way too picky, some aren't picky enough.
