Do men take serious the I LOVE YOU!?

Okay lately every time when me and my man text goodnight he always says I Love You and the end of text he been saying it for over 4years but my questions is does the men mean it.. or they say it because u been with a relationship longtime because i know some of my gfs husbands dont say I love you to there wifes anymore or some guys have to much Men Pride and dont say I love you they rather hear it from the women.because we more soft ,what u people think...just trying to see different sides high points !!
